Method

My enjoyment of translating is evident in the results of my work. The professional, linguistic and stylistic quality of my translations is my top priority. In order to deliver expert translations, I regularly attend seminars and training conferences and do extensive research whenever necessary.

Linguistic and stylistic quality is ensured through an extensive correction process.

Each one of my translations is revised in two correction steps. First, I check my translation for completeness and correctness by comparing it to the original text. In the second step, I exclusively read the translation, paying attention to readability, stylistic fluency and the formatting of the finished text. The result of the two-stage correction process satisfies even the highest quality requirements.

To ensure the consistency of my translations, I use computer-assisted translation programs (CAT) like SDL Trados Studio and Across. These programs work on the basis of so-called translation memories in which each sentence of a translation (source and target language) is stored. If formulations are used in a text several times, these translation memories ensure that they are translated uniformly depending on the requirements of the text. In addition, I can guarantee

that I always use the same, correct terminology in your texts.
